Harris heckled at Pennsylvania church, says voting for her fulfills God’s expectation ‘for us to help Him’

Harris heckled at Pennsylvania church, says voting for her fulfills God’s expectation ‘for us to help Him’

Vice President Harris was interrupted by a heckler while she was speaking in a Pennsylvania church on Sunday meant to highlight her faith in the battleground state nine days before Election Day.  From the lectern at the Church of Christian Compassion in West Philadelphia, Harris was referencing the biblical story of the Apostle Paul when someone began shouting. Harris stopped speaking and clapped, as the church band sounded music to drown out the heckler, who was not captured on event cameras.  “That’s why we fight for democracy,” Harris repeated as the heckler was escorted out.  “Every voice is important,” she said, clapping. “Every voice is important.”  HARRIS MAKES PITCH TO BLACK CHURCHES AFTER TELLING PROTESTERS PRAISING JESUS, ‘YOU’RE AT THE WRONG RALLY’ The interruption was over in less than two minutes and Harris continued her message. At the beginning of her remarks, Harris had suggested that voting for her fulfills God’s will. “In just nine days, we have the power to decide the fate of our nation for generations to come. And on this day, then on this beautiful Sunday morning, I am reminded God expects us to help Him,” Harris said through laughter, garnering applause. “We got work to do.”  “Like Paul, we must remember that divine power works through our actions, and we have the power to move past division, fear and chaos,” Harris told the congregation later on. “It is in and within our power to fulfill the promise of America and the promise to create opportunity for every child and to protect our basic freedoms, the power to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God power the Black Church understood and has used for generations.”  VANCE TAKES FAITH APPROACH AFTER HARRIS MOCKED PRO-LIFE PROTESTERS AT RALLY: ‘JESUS IS KING’ As she has done in past addresses to Black congregations in recent weeks, Harris attempted to contrast herself against “those who seek to deepen division, to spread hate, to sow fear, and to cause chaos, who suggest that the measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you beat down.”  “Here in Pennsylvania right now, each of us has an opportunity to make a difference, because in this moment, we do face a real question: what kind of country do we want to live in? What kind of country do we want for our children and our grandchildren?” Harris said. “A country of chaos… fear and hate, or a country of freedom, justice and compassion. And the great thing about living in a democracy is We the People have the choice to answer that question.” “So let us answer not just with our words, but with our works. Yes, with our prayers, but also with our pressing. Yes, with our faith and also our faith, but also our feet. As we walk to the polls,” Harris said. “And yes, in these nine days, these next nine days will test us. They will demand everything we’ve got. But when I think about the days ahead and the God we serve, yeah, I am confident that His power will work through us. Because, church, I know we were born for a time such as this.”  Harris cited her campaign theme of “joy.” “In times of uncertainty, Scripture reminds us weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning,” Harris said in closing. “The path may seem hard, the work may seem heavy, but joy cometh in the morning. And church, morning is on its way. God bless you. God bless America.”

Battleground state officials say foreign enemies using misinformation to ‘undermine’ democratic process

Battleground state officials say foreign enemies using misinformation to ‘undermine’ democratic process

Two state officials in battleground states Arizona and Pennsylvania on Sunday warned American voters that foreign adversaries are trying to sow distrust in U.S. democracy with misinformation about non-citizens voting in the 2024 presidential election. Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes and Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Al Schmidt were both asked during an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation” about U.S. intelligence that shows Russia using a fake video and online posts to spread allegations about the possibility of non-citizens voting in the federal election. “It’s clear that bad faith foreign actors are seeking to undermine confidence in our election results,” Schmidt said. “The video that you’re referring to from Bucks County to anyone who has years of experience in election administration was conspicuously fake. But if you don’t, it’s so easy for people to be sort of deceived by others trying to undermine confidence in our system of government.” Fontes said that foreign enemies “want to sow distrust in our democracy” and divide Americans further, adding that the source of a lot of this “misinformation” comes from outside the U.S. and is then amplified by people in America who are helping these adversaries. MILLIONS OF VOTERS HAVE ALREADY CAST BALLOTS FOR NOV. 5 ELECTION “The allegation that this is something that might turn an election or is something much bigger than it is, that’s the nonsense that we are dealing with,” Fontes said. “And unfortunately, we still have candidates, elected officials and folks with large megaphones lying. They are directly lying to the American public and they are basically playing the role of useful idiots.” Fontes further encouraged Americans to “stop being a Russian puppet” and to “look to the folks who are actually doing the work.” ARIZONA ELECTION BALLOTS DAMAGED AFTER USPS MAILBOX LIT ON FIRE, SUSPECT ARRESTED “Ask them what’s actually happening and go with the truth instead of amplifying lies from foreign adversaries,” he said. Schmidt said that voter fraud is “incredibly rare” and noted “how easy it is to catch.” “There are safeguards in the system from tooth to tail to make sure that voter fraud, in the few instances it does occur, is identified, investigated and responsibly prosecuted,” he said.

Liz Cheney blasts Trump as ‘depraved,’ ‘unstable,’ claims pro-life and pro-choice women rallying behind Harris

Former Rep. Liz Cheney, who is backing Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024, blasted former President Donald Trump as “unstable,” “depraved,” and “cruel” during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday. Cheney also suggested that former Trump administration figures who have been speaking out against Trump, like former White House chief of staff John Kelly, “know” that Trump “has no conscience,” and is “erratic,” “chaotic,” and “cruel.” The former congresswoman, who identifies as pro-life, also claimed that since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, some states put laws in place that prevent women from obtaining “life-saving care.” She asserted that there have been situations in which physicians are unsure whether the care a woman requires has been criminalized under state law. TRUMP LAMBASTES LIZ CHENEY AS ‘CRAZED WARHAWK’ AS SHE CAMPAIGNS FOR KAMALA HARRIS Cheney said that there are pro-life and pro-choice women rallying behind Harris so that they never find themselves in a scenario “where either their own life is at risk, where they can’t have babies in the future.” She also appeared on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday morning to share similar thoughts, including the view that Trump lacks a conscience. Cheney said that she thinks Donald Trump has ushered “violence … into our politics in a way that we haven’t seen before.” When CBS News’ Margaret Brennan asked Cheney how she set aside her pro-life views and chose to vote for Harris, Cheney responded, “I don’t think it’s about putting convictions aside. I think it’s about looking at the reality on the ground of what’s happened since Roe was overturned.” LIZ CHENEY PREDICTS ‘MILLIONS OF REPUBLICANS’ WILL VOTE FOR HARRIS: ‘VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE’ Cheney was one of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Later that year, she was ousted from her role as House Republican Conference Chair. She was one of the House Republicans who served on the House Select Committee that probed the Jan. 6 episode. While Cheney is a vociferous Trump critic, Trump is also an outspoken Cheney critic. Vulgar pro-porn ad for Dems shows man in sex act

Vulgar pro-porn ad for Dems shows man in sex act

A new advertisement by a group supporting Democratic candidates shows a man involved in a solitary sex act being interrupted by a fictional Republican, who informs the man that the GOP has banned porn nationwide. The new ad, which was posted to X by DemCast founder Nick Knudsen, shows a young man in his room alone watching pornography on his phone when he is suddenly interrupted by a man who introduces himself as a Republican congressman and informs him that he is breaking the law. “What the hell man! How did you get in here?,” the man asks. “I’m your Republican congressman. Now that we’re in charge, we’re banning porn nationwide,” the man replies. PROJECT 2025 LEADER STEPS DOWN AMID CRITICISM FROM TRUMP “You can’t tell me what to do! Get out of my bedroom!,” the man exclaims. “I won the election, so it’s my decision,” the lawmaker replies. “Anybody else find it ironic that a party led by perverted rapist Donald Trump who pays off porn stars wants to ban porn?” Knudsen said in the post with the ad. “The hypocrisy is astounding. These weirdos need to stop trying to control our private decisions.” The advertisement, which was paid for by Progress Action, appears to be referencing the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, a conservative initiative that lays out a roadmap of proposals for a potential Republican government that includes a ban on pornography.  TRUMP SLAMS HERITAGE FOUNDATION’S TRANSITION PLAN, CLAIMS PARTS ARE ‘RIDICULOUS’ AND ‘ABYSMAL’ Democrats have attacked Project 2025 and attempted to tie it to GOP candidates throughout the election, with some Republicans such as former President Trump attempting to distance themselves from the initiative. “President Trump’s campaign has been very clear for over a year that Project 2025 had nothing to do with the campaign, did not speak for the campaign, and should not be associated with the campaign or the President in any way,” the Trump campaign said in a July statement. In a later post continuing to boast about the ad, Knudsen said testing shows it has been effective on young male voters. “Just found out this ad when tested moves under-30-men 3.5 points away from Donald Trump,” Knudsen said. “That’s MASSIVE! Please share widely!” Get the latest updates on the ongoing border crisis from the Fox News Digital immigration hub.

Lindsey Graham strikes back at John Kelly’s ‘fascist’ comment about Trump: ‘Desperate’

Lindsey Graham strikes back at John Kelly’s ‘fascist’ comment about Trump: ‘Desperate’

Sen. Lindsey Graham on Sunday said John Kelly’s “fascist” comment about former President Trump, under whom he served as White House chief of staff, was a sign of desperation for the Harris campaign with just over a week to go until Election Day. Graham, R-S.C., appeared on ABC’s “This Week,” where he was asked about how Kelly insisted Trump met the “general definition of a fascist” and would govern like a dictator if allowed during an interview with The New York Times last week.  “[Kelly’s] undermining a concept that’s been good for America,” Graham said. “I think our generals have sort of been apolitical. He’s entitled to his opinion. I just categorically reject it.” “Three weeks before the election, you’re calling basically Trump Hitler, a fascist, is not going to resonate,” the senator continued. “What happened to joy on the Democratic side? They went from joy to now Trump is Hitler. Well, that’s desperation.” TRUMP RESPONDS TO EX-CHIEF OF STAFF AFTER HE’S LABELED ‘AUTHORITARIAN’ AND THE ‘GENERAL DEFINITION OF FASCIST’ Graham further struck back on Kelly’s “fascist” comment, asking Americans to look at Trump’s record as “a friend of Israel unlike any other” and how he helped put Israel “in the strongest position they’ve been in.” He also said there were no wars, the border was at its most secure and inflation was down, all on Trump’s watch. “I think General Kelly’s criticisms are not based on facts,” the senator said. “I think it’s emotional, it’s sad, and it’s not going to matter.” Graham was also asked about criticisms that retired four-star Gens. Mark Milley and Jim Mattis, who both served in the Trump administration, also made about the former president. EX-TRUMP OFFICIALS TELL AMERICANS TO ‘HEED GENERAL KELLY’S WARNING’ TRUMP’S A FASCIST “That shows you how desperate this campaign is, you’ve got three retired generals who have been out of the game for a while, three weeks before the election and trying to replace joy with fear,” Graham said. Graham also noted that he does not think Harris is a fascist or communist either when commenting about the war of words between Trump and Harris. “Do I think Kamala Harris is a fascist? No. [Do] I think she’s a communist? No. I think she’s the most liberal person ever to be nominated by a major party. I think she’s ineffective. I think she’s incompetent,” Graham said.

Rubio fires back at Trump critics accusing former president of being ‘fascist’

Rubio fires back at Trump critics accusing former president of being ‘fascist’

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio took aim at former Trump administration officials who have accused former President Trump of being fascist and admiring Adolf Hitler. “It’s very dubious to see these accusations coming at the very last minute, right before an election,” Rubio said of the accusations against Trump during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.” The Republican senator’s comments came after former Trump chief of staff John Kelly told the New York Times in an interview last week that his former boss met the definition of “fascist,” setting off a wave off new attacks on Trump from Democrats less than two weeks before the election. TRUMP BLASTS HARRIS OVER HITLER COMPARISON, RIPS HIS FORMER CHIEF OF STAFF: ‘LOWLIFE’ Rubio argued that many former Trump administration officials are attacking the former president as a way of opening up job offers. “These are people that worked in the administration or around the administration, and then they figured out pretty quickly, if we want jobs after we leave this administration, we have to become anti-Trumpers,” Rubio claimed. Kelly’s comments were endorsed by 13 former Trump administration officials who signed an open letter warning of the dangers of a second Trump term, according to a report from Politico,  “We applaud General Kelly for highlighting in stark details the danger of a second Trump term. Like General Kelly, we did not take the decision to come forward lightly,” the letter said. “We are all lifelong Republicans who served our country. However, there are moments in history where it becomes necessary to put country over party. This is one of those moments.” HARRIS LIKENS TRUMP TO HITLER IN SCATHING REMARKS, SAYS HE WANTS SAME MILITARY LOYALTY AS GERMAN DICTATOR Kelly claimed to have witnessed Trump offering praise for German dictator Adolf Hitler on multiple occasions, accusations Trump has denied. GET THE FOX NEWS APP BY CLICKING HERE “He commented more than once that, ‘You know, Hitler did some good things, too,’” Kelly said of Trump. “Never said it,” Trump said in response to reporters last week during a stop in Nevada.
